Eclipse Day Arrives With Good Weather, Light Traffic
(TNS) – Traffic has been slow but steady this morning as the region prepares for today’s total eclipse of the sun.
Weather conditions appear to be nearly perfect for today’s eclipse, according to the Accuweather forecast. No rain is in the forecast this afternoon. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 70s when the eclipse begins at 1:55 p.m. today, although it will dip down near 69 degrees when the total eclipse occurs between 3:09:57 and 3:13:47 p.m. in Lima.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Allen County Emergency Management Agency set up an Emergency Operations Center. Bluelick Road will be closed Monday and Tuesday between Sugar Street and Berryhill Road, while Bowman Road will be closed today from Harding Highway to state Route 117.
